Permit Required

For importation of Biosecurity regulated products (Animal Products), importer needs to have a valid Biosecurity Approved Premises (BAP). Our trade and compliance team (tfc@baf.com.fj) will assist you in obtaining your BAP.


Import conditions prior to arrival in Fiji


A BAF import permit is required.


The goods must meet biosecurity requirements.


To demonstrate compliance with this requirement you must present the following on a Health certificate:

1 The animals from which the meat/meat products are derived from are of New Zealand origin only.


2 The animals from which the meat/meat products are derived were from registered farms in New Zealand.


3 The animals were inspected ante mortem and postmortem at a NZMPI registered export abattoir under the supervision of Government Veterinarians and found to be free of infectious and contagious disease and fit for human consumption.


4 All export requirements of NZMPI are complied with.


5 The meat/meat products are exported in sealed containers and have not come into contact with animal products of any other country.


6 The statement must accompany the product.
